Mark Ruffalo On Hulk TV

Actor Mark Ruffalo, who will be playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the upcoming Avengers film, was just interviewed by IGN about the iconic role. He revealed he’s been catching up on the Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk TV series, among other things, but the part that stood out to us was his answer regarding new Hulk TV. Here’s what he had to say:

IGN: They’ve announced that Guillermo del Toro’s doing a live-action TV series of the Hulk. It sounds almost like a prequel to what you guys are doing in Avengers. What are your thoughts on there being another live-action iteration of the Hulk at the same time as yours?

Ruffalo: Dude, it’s like my generation’s Hamlet. It looks like we’re all gonna get a shot at it. I guess the more the merrier, you know?

One could read into that to imply that Ruffalo has no interest in taking the character from movies to TV, but hey – we have over a year to find out what ends up happening there. You can read the entire IGN interview here.
